Rapberries no more

Sad to say that the summer raspberries are done (Gail is picking the last ones for jam). Blueberries and blackberries are slowing down. But the good news? Fall raspberries will start up again in a few weeks, there's lots of veggies, Felicite is at the Farmer's Market right now selling her delicious, West African cuisine, and coffee & scones is on for tomorrow!

Early August

The farmstand is bursting with blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, tomatoes, cukes, greens, onions, garlic, flowers, babies & more!

Berries (of all kinds) are dripping from the bushes and vines: today blueberries, raspberries & BLACKBERRIES are all open for pick-your-own.

Today, (Saturday), there's a hopping farmer's market here with Jillian Hulme's cakes, Brian's organic beef and chicken, crafts, breakfast sandwiches, muffins & coffee.

And last but not least: tomorrow morning at 9 AM is "Coffee & Scones:" triple berry options!

We hope to see you sometime soon.

Update

Picking in the raspberries is still quite good, but the blueberries will need to be closed to picking next week from Monday 8/1 - Friday 8/5 to allow the next crop of berries to ripen. The blackberries are just beginning to ripen and may be ready by the end of the week.

Lots of vegetables coming in: potatoes, tomatoes, onions, beans and cucumbers!

PYO Blueberries!

Blueberries are now open for pick-your-own with a four-pint max (so there's enough to go around). See side shed (PYO shed) for prices, boxes, and picking instructions. Enjoy! It's heavenly out there.

Pick Your Own Raspberries...

Pick your own raspberries begins today -- 7/18. Check in the PYO shed for instructions on where to pick. This info will change throughout the season so please check each time. Until the main crop ripens the picking will be a bit slow, but by next week should pick up.

The blueberries will open for PYO on Wednesday, 7/20. Picking will be limited to 2 pints to start the season. As more bushes ripen we will remove the limit. They should be in full production beginning the first week of August. Again, please check in the PYO shed for any last minute changes, instructions, etc.

Garden crops are beginning to come in. We are picking sugar snap peas, the first tomatoes and cukes, garlic, finishing up the first planting of broccoli and looking forward to beans and summer squash.

The fledgling Marlboro Farmer's Market is a work in progress as each week the vendor mix changes. Last Saturday Susan and Woody were there with delicious goat cheese as well as Alison Turner with wonderfully creative wooden toys and games. Eric Dennis sold his blacksmith work (and is also a great Irish soda bread baker), Felicitie cooked up delicious lunch fare and Haley gave wonderful massages to round things out. And of course, Jillian's fabulous cakes were available in the farm stand the entire weekend.

Coffee & Scones are in full swing on Sunday mornings--we recommend getting there at 9 if you want some!
