Pick your own raspberries begins today -- 7/18. Check in the PYO shed for instructions on where to pick. This info will change throughout the season so please check each time. Until the main crop ripens the picking will be a bit slow, but by next week should pick up.
The blueberries will open for PYO on Wednesday, 7/20. Picking will be limited to 2 pints to start the season. As more bushes ripen we will remove the limit. They should be in full production beginning the first week of August. Again, please check in the PYO shed for any last minute changes, instructions, etc.
Garden crops are beginning to come in. We are picking sugar snap peas, the first tomatoes and cukes, garlic, finishing up the first planting of broccoli and looking forward to beans and summer squash.
The fledgling Marlboro Farmer's Market is a work in progress as each week the vendor mix changes. Last Saturday Susan and Woody were there with delicious goat cheese as well as Alison Turner with wonderfully creative wooden toys and games. Eric Dennis sold his blacksmith work (and is also a great Irish soda bread baker), Felicitie cooked up delicious lunch fare and Haley gave wonderful massages to round things out. And of course, Jillian's fabulous cakes were available in the farm stand the entire weekend.
Coffee & Scones are in full swing on Sunday mornings--we recommend getting there at 9 if you want some!

Raspberries, Farmers Market, Coffee & Scones!
The first of the raspberries are in! Right now there's just a few picked pints at a time (that sell out quick), but by next week there should be plenty. We hope to have Pick-Your-Own beginning the week of the 15th (stay tuned).
The Marlboro Farmers Market will be at the stand tomorrow from 10-1.
And Coffee and Scones will be happening this Sunday morning at 9. Come by for fresh raspberry scones, yum coffee (or tea), neighborly visiting, and ping pong!
Lastly, the stand is teeming with mesclun and oregano, so a recipe for you:
The Queen of Salads
mesclun mix
pear, sliced
red onion, sliced thinly in rings
coarsely chopped walnuts, toasted
crumbled Roquefort (or another good blue cheese)
dressing:
2 TBS aged sherry or red wine vinegar
1/4 c. olive oil
1 TBS finely chopped fresh oregano leaves
salt and freshly ground black pepper
Enjoy.

Lettuce & Greens!
This cold wet spring has slowed things down, but vegetables are coming along. Lettuce and mesclun mix is now available at Sweeties and will be available at the Marlboro Farmers' Market next Saturday (if it doesn't pour).
CSA shares are still available--I know a lot of you have expressed an interest. For $150 you will receive a credit at the farm stand for that amount ( don't need to bring cash), a 10% discount on Wednesdays, and the ability to pick whenever you would like once the berries are open for PYO (early morning / middle of the night)--whatever suits you. Once the original share is used up you can renew a share for any amount above $50.00.
The stand should be open towards the end of the month. Look forward to seeing you then!
