spring greens!

Spring is officially here in Marlboro, and our greenhouses are full of tomato plants, grandchildren and greens! Because Sweeties is closed, we're now selling limited bags of the greens at the farm stand. Today you can find spinach, mesclun and baby kale in the fridge.

Enjoy!

Stand closing Sunday, October 14th

Once again, thanks for all of your support for locally grown food. The last day that the stand will be open is Sunday, October 14th. Until then, we'll try to keep it full with butternut squash, potatoes, chard and kale, broccoli, tomatoes, eggs, salad  mix and raspberries. See you next summer!

Thanks, Dan and Gail, Robin and Lauren

pumpkins, squash, leeks, kale...

The days are getting shorter and cooler, so come to the farmstand between now and our late October closing for pumpkins, butternut squash, delicata squash, potatoes, leeks, kale, swiss chard, arugula, pickles, jams, late raspberries, pesto, fresh salsa, cherry tomatoes, tomatoes, peppers and more….

If you're running low on syrup, we still have some quarts available to tide you over until March. Brian's delicious chickens and beef are in the freezer and eggs are usually available.

We hope to see you soon!

Fall raspberries! Melons! Corn!

Hello friends,

Gail is back to driving the bus, but that doesn't mean the farm season is slowing down. We now have our own fresh corn, sweet melons (!), fall raspberries (!), and so many tomatoes that we've put them "on  sale" for $2.50/lb.  If you don't grow your own, here's your chance to put some in jars or the freezer.

The stand is also stocked with fresh preserves and a new batch of Lauren's popular calendula lip balm.

Lastly, the last "Coffee & Scones" will be this Sunday morning. Coffee always tastes best in the cooler air.

We hope to see you on the hill soon!

Scones

Tomorrow morning will be the second-to-last coffee & scones for the season (the last one will be Sept. 1st; the bakers will be off gigging on the 26th). Peach & fall raspberry...come'n get them!

Also, the stand is full of veggies---corn, peppers, summer squash, greens, & tomatoes tomatoes tomatoes! "There's only two things that money can't buy: true love & home grown tomatoes."

PYO Berries are done...

Hope everyone had their fill of picking. The season started about ten days earlier than usual with pick your own opening during the first week of July! Unfortunately, an early start also means an early end. The raspberries were done about a week ago and the blueberries were good picking until the last few days. We will continue to pick blackberries and blueberries to supply the farm stand for a bit longer.
Tomatoes are plentiful, still lots of greens and beans, potatoes, onions, zukes and cukes, and we'll have corn soon. Lauren's naturally fermented dill pickles are a hot item and Brian's chickens will be available any day.

Tomatoes, tomatoes, tomatoes; the stand is dripping with tomatoes! Time to make your fresh salsa...
